Our Farm




Pleasant Valley Farm is located in Argyle, about 30 minutes from either the Glens Falls or Saratoga markets and is owned/operated by Sandy & Paul Arnold. All of our produce is 100% guaranteed and we are glad to replace it or refund the cost of something if you are not satisfied. We encourage everyone to bring their own bags and totes to keep plastic use down which helps the environment. Our farm often looks to its customers to work at the farm or at our stands at the farmers' market, so let us know if you'd like to be added onto the list; working can be part-time or just once to experience a day on the farm!

Paul and I purchased the land in 1988. We grow about 6 acres of vegetables and 1 acre of fruits with organic methods on our farm (certified thru Naturally Certified Grown: www.naturallygrown.org) , and we have another 4 acres that we use for rotation (cover-cropped half the time). We raise a diverse list of produce year-round, including greens in high tunnels all winter. Some of our specialties are: spinach, lettuce, greens, carrots, beets, potatoes (about 10 varieties), onions, brassicas (cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, kale), herbs, strawberries, blueberries, apples, and lots more! Farming has given us our family's living for over 16 years; we sell everything we grow at 3 summer farmers' markets, 2 winter markets, and a few local restaurants (Beekman Street Bistro, One Caroline, and Mouzon House). Our children, Robert (17) and Kim (14), are valuable helpers running our family farm. Our success is totally dependent on our customers and we thank you for your wonderful support of us year-round! Many years we offer an organized farm tour, but we welcome customers to come visit us most anytime; just call and let us know! We do not sell produce at the farm except by special permission.
